Not about the present
PastForward Games makes games that sit somewhere else in time. A game is the past, a past game made new, or the future. LTC Labs is the parent. TwilightScan is the sky camera from the same shop: a roof pointed up, and a list in the morning of what crossed.
The person who started it
The founder is in their late forties. Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein were the games they loved, and they wanted new ones in that spirit. The new games use original names and original art.
The other love was Star Trek: The Next Generation. What still stops them is a ship leaving the pad, and everything that might be past Earth.
The past
Some games look backward. One Small Fact keeps a pack of inventions beside the space facts, so a question can be about what people already built.
A past game, made new
Hardpoint is a castle at night in the 1992 shooter tradition. Ramjet is a loud, fast shooter in the same family. Both are new games, not remakes of the ones that started the itch.
The future
Standing Orders is a tour on a survey ship. The Third Leap is a rocket leaving the coast. UpMass packs a stack, raises a city on the Moon, and throws cargo farther out. TwilightScan stays on the ground and watches the sky those ships are aimed at.
